You receive the message “Please insert disk: 1” during installation
On some unusual PC configurations there may be a problem with installing the
software from CD. This problem can often be solved by copying the installation
files to a folder on your hard drive, and then installing from the hard drive.
Perform the following steps:
- Create a temporary directory somewhere on your hard drive. Call it
anything you like, for example “AAA”. For simplicity, the remainder of these
steps will use the name “AAA".
- Load Disc A of the High School Mathematics product you have purchased.
- You will need to copy all the folders and files from the CD to the “AAA”
folder EXCEPT for the Data\Solutions, Data\Tutorials and Data\Worksheets
folders. The easiest way to do this is to copy all the folders and files to
your hard drive except for the Data folder, and then separately create an AAA\Data
folder into which you copy the Data\DB folder.
- Double-click the HSM50Up.exe program – NOT the setup.exe program.
- The installation should proceed normally. When it has finished you can
delete the AAA folder and all its contents.
