MathsPOWER NEWS - MathsPOWER Challenge Official Launch

Stressing the importance of projects to assist children to improve their numeracy skills, Dr Brendan Nelson and Father Chris Riley  founder of the "Youth Off The Streets" program press the button, to formally launch the National MathsPOWER Challenge. 

The National MathsPOWER Challenge is a 12 month Australia-wide research project, designed to analyse the impact that parental involvement has on improving their children’s education through the use of computer software^*.

^*Preliminary studies show that appropriate parental involvement through the use of their own efforts, or through the use of appropriate resources can enhance a student's exam results by as much as 50%.
